Every
public K-12 school in Florida is a SUNLINK school!
A
small number of those schools (under 300) have only a partial
library media collection in SUNLINK. |
 |
Currently
over 2,500 Florida schools have their full collections in the
database. |
 |
Last
year, over 61,000 interlibrary loan transactions took place
in SUNLINK schools throughout the state. Over 90% of those ILLs
were conducted within the individual districts. The remainder
of the ILLs provided resources that were not available in-district. |

The
project is funded by the Florida Department of Education in Tallahassee,
Florida and the project office is located at the University of Central
Florida in Orlando.
Twelve
SUNLINK Task Force Members from twelve different school districts
guide the project's development.
Automation
services are provided by Brodart
Automation of Williamsport, Pennsylvania. These services include
retrospective conversion, database development, software development
and World Wide Web access to the database.
SUNLINK
is located in the UCF Foundation/Orlando Tech Center section of
Research Park located next to the University of Central Florida's
main campus. Research Parkway is the "main drag" in Research
Park and is located just off of Alafaya Trail between University
Boulevard and Colonial Drive on the east side of Orlando.
