The
"Location" menu can save you time when searching SUNLINK.
Timing
is everything, whether you are a student, teacher, or media specialist.
The need to acquire resources in a timely manner is critical. SUNLINK's
"Location" menu will allow you to zero in on those resources
that are in the closest proximity to you. The "Location"
menu will help ensure more efficient interlibrary loan transactions.
Recommended
SUNLINK Search Strategy utilizing the "Location" menu:
From
the SUNLINK home page (www.sunlink.ucf.edu)
click on the "Begin Your Search" button. From the Florida
map pages, click on your region and then on your district. Enter
your search term(s) in the appropriate field(s).
At the SUNLINK
search screen, click on the "Location" menu, and select
your local school's name code from the list. For example: Clarcona
ES.
If you are unsuccessful
in locating the desired item(s) at the local school level, then
click on the "Location" menu and select your district's
name. For example: Orange.
If you are unsuccessful
in locating the desired item(s) at the district level, then click
on the "Location" menu and select the Region that searches
the surrounding counties. For example: Region 3.
If you are
unsuccessful in locating the desired item(s) in your region, then
click on the "Location" menu and select (all) to search
the entire state.
To
identify which schools own the item(s) you desire, scroll down to
the "Location" field at the bottom of each SUNLINK record.
(Note: Schools that have a yellow envelope next to their name identifies
them as an email interlibrary loan school.) Consult the SUNLINK
school directory (hard copy or online version) to find school related
information such as address, phone and fax numbers.
