Tips for Students, Teachers and Parents

You don't need to know the complete title of the book to find it on SUNLINK! A couple of words from the title will usually do it. You don't need to type unimportant words such as "a, an, of, the" when they are part of the title.

When you find the book you would like to read, either print it out, or make a note of the title and call number so you can find it in your media center.

This movie will also show you how to limit your search to your school district, to limit your search to books only, and how to see what school has the book so your media specialist can borrow it for you!

Tips for Media Specialists

Teach students how to "scope up" their search to the entire school district if they can't find what they need in your media center. Then offer to borrow it via interlibrary loan!
