When you need to find books or other materials for a topic of interest, whether it's for research or for fun, it's always best to start your search locally, by searching your school!

This tutorial will also show you how to expand the search to the school district if you do not find what you need in your school media center's collection. Simply print out the record for the item you need and bring it to your school library media specialist!

Be sure to explain to students that you can borrow an item for them if what they need can't be found in your media center. Be sure they understand that by searching the school district, it's quick for you to get an item via interlibrary loan and the district courier service.
